Texas and Zeus (G. Washington) have both showed good health; HD: AA, ED: 00 and OCD free what a pleasure!! I'm waiting for the result of Kato (A. Lincoln) and of course crossing my fingers for a good result. The same day as the x-ray, Texas also got his neutralization. Sadly enough, especially when he has shown so good health. But still, that was the best thing to do. He managed the operation with jolly good mood. And he's doing quite well at the moment. Above - pictures of Texas, getting his "upstart drug", the operation and the finished result after his neutralization. Return to Brown Paws frontpage

Soon we'll hit into April month, and in my head I still haven't finished with January! I've had some technical problems with updates on my blog, but better late than never. It starts to smell a bit of spring. The days have been considerably longer, the sun gets more and more powerful and the beautiful sound of birds in the morning seems so life-affirming. The presidents are all approaching 12 months and toward their 1 year birthday. That also means X-ray of hips and elbows. And just like last time I'm beginning to get some butterflies in my stomach - but wouldn't it be quite wired if I didn't? Texas starts getting his x-rays taken on Friday 13 april (who said superstitious?) and then the other four lovely presidents simply follows. The same date is also the big neutering date for Texas - sadly enough! But my plans to let him into breeding is unfortunately not possible since he is cryptorchid. This really makes me sad, also because this means that we're excluded from all official trials in DRK - this is obviously a very bitter pill to swallow for me! Fortunately, we have opportunities to participate in unofficial trials even though it is a fairly limited area. But luckily this dosnøt changes that Texas is a truly wonderful and beautiful dog, a real heartbreaker - right now it is up to me to give him a whole lot of experiences, not least get him trained so that he can participate in future hunting together with me. And I'm very lucky to get some really experienced help in that matter. Thank you Michael! I, along with Vivian and Zeus (BP George Washington), just started LP1 (Obedience) in Danish Kennel Club, and it is certainly something that gives our two young punks great pleasure! And then we see if we can complete and pass such a test! Lovely with some challenges... But happily there's also great news! Brown Paws Abraham Lincoln * Kato * has passed his DRK Obedience test with 38/40 points. Super nice Jørgen - I'm very proud of the both of you! Now the "serious" training with schweiss tracking has begun, and it seems that the young brown boy is enjoying himselvs tremendously. Jørgen tells me that training for the 3hr/400m dosn't seem that confusing! Lovely with active puppybuyers, a thousand thanks from a very humble breeder! I welcome all of your stories and feedback! This upcoming weekend is once again in good company with paws and dummies. DRK Region South organizes an unofficial Working Test which also includes an unofficial bloodtrackning. It's great to recieve a greater interest in bloodtrack and the people "behind" really enjoys the attention that our "world" gets in these times. We had our debut at Felsted in the organized C-field trial - and our expectations were really forefilled! So we're looking very forward to another great day on the track! Besides our activities e are also starting bloodtracking training in NE region and it starts Thursday 12th april. So besdes training my own paws there is also a lot to do training others. But nevermind, we're crazy about our paws and loves the time we spend in the great dog company - and even outdoors! I wish you all a wonderful weekend to all out there. Hope it gives plenty of dog company and many happy and positive people by your side. Return to Brown Paws frontpage

No surprise - but it was spend with lots of dog loving people. Danish Retriever Club, Region South, arranged a perfect inspiration day with Sanne Ammitzbøl from " Sannes Dogcenter ", she is absolutely a great capacity with many years of dogtraining in her "bagage". She is active with her own Golden Retrievers and FT Spaniels - in agility, obedience and plenty more. No doubt about her skills and her understanding concerning the dogs and also their differences - she's absolutely a skilled and pretty inspirering. I've recieved news from Brown Paws Lotus Esprit *Marrón*, after his surgery he is - again - fit for fight, and dosn't really understand WHY he should keep calm after his surgery that is pretty good signs! I do hope that everything goes well with *Marrón*, crosses fingers and legs! And talking about Veterinatians... Time flies, and soon, too soon our little Presidents turns 1 year old! Which also means that it is time to arrange x-ray days. In a short while I'll mail my President familiy with possible dates, and then we'll make our "x-ray dates". Amazing how fast time goes - it dosn't seem like almost a year since they made me a bit concerned and made my 11th of April a bit hectic! Return to Brown Paws frontpage

Danish Retriever Club held their first training course for Blood track Instructors. And I was so lucky to be a part of all this. It was a perfect weekend with good comversations, discussions and debates. But afterall and at the end every one of us shared the same dreams concerned blood tracking. After 15-16 hours of talking we all sleeped quite good the first night. But still - Sunday all of us were ready for much more. And Sunday really turned out with the most beautiful sunrise - and of course everybody were ready for another great day! After several hours with much more taking we had to "break up" and go home. But that weekend educated 9 Blood track Instructors from Danish Retriever Club - and we're keeping contact and planing to meet in the autumn to exchange the experiences that we're gonna make in this year - and I'm looking very much forward to that! And concerning "my Paws" - they look quite ready to do some blood tracking don't they? Return to Brown Paws frontpage

I find it a bit late - where is Spring? But still - the silent white landscape is pretty beautiful - after all! Unfortunately, my spare time is pretty short at the moment. So therefore no pics of my black and brown paws. Not yet - but others seem to be having a great time playing around outside! I've got pics from Jørgen and *Kato* (Brown Paws Abraham Lincoln), enjoying the white element. I've also recieved news from Brown Paws Lotus Esprit *Marrón*. Unfortunately he's been going throw surgery because of a tumor on his leg. The surgery went well, and know the only thing to do - is to cross fingers so that no more tumor appears. All my love I send to Marrón, Anna & Jesper! Thank You both for taking so good care of the sweet brown boy! My spare time is absolutely fully booked with Labbis! As a new and super initiative Danish Retriever Club, Region South (my area!) decided to let me start a Bloodtracking Committee, with the purpose to create much more interest into bloodtracking! And with me, I got thes absolutely amazing people that loves this area of dogtraining The goal is to create unofficial bloodtracking trials and a lot of training! And this weekend is - for me - also in the bloodtracking mode. I'm gonna join the Danish Retriever Clubs seminar "Blood Track Instructor Education", and Iøm really looking very much forward to it! So no training dogs in the weekend, but hopefully a lot of mind training for me! Have a wonderful weekend Return to Brown Paws frontpage

The Christmas spirit is about to find mour way. The presents are almost bought, gift wrapping and coloured ribbon are almost all used. Christmas cards are almost done, this year it's a combi of old fashion handwritten cards, and the ones on email. The only thong missing is the snow!! It's rainy, and looks nothing like December and Christmas!...
